This week i felt a bit lost with my work, and so decided to look into my visual research. Collecting floral imagery at different angles and different compositions. This helped me further understand colour and form.
I felt this conducted abstract florals with the use of photography. This has allowed me to develop and understand different ways in which a style can be created, not necessarily through mediums such as paint etc. Although this piece, reminds me of Georgia O'Keefes paintings.

I admire how she captures the beauty of florals, although her work is abstract, she has captured detail within it. Her style is very unique and this is something i want to push across in my work.
My attempt of her style of work proved very successful, i was able to play with colour whilst focusing on detail. I used Acrylic paint with this technique, it differs from how i initially started using acrylic paint in the beginning in a messy style. I have found a way of working abstract but in a detailed way which i preferred. I will be pushing this style of work further.
