Evaluation of practice project

The practice unit has been a challenging project for me, it has allowed me to develop and understand the market of interior and allowed me to find what approach works best. I have always admired the use of Digital print design and how it adds a contemporary twist to any design. It allows you to combine different elements and medias together, which I have learnt over this process. It has also allowed me to further develop in different areas of working which I was uncomfortable with. My skills and confidence has really grown over this project, it has challenged the way I work and allowed me to be diverse and adapt to other areas. The live briefs were an area, which showed this, and this has made me understand how the professional and real world works. I was able to explore other areas of interior which opened up my mind to working in a different context.

The influences throughout my process were of different areas of art and textiles, this wide range allows me to look into different areas to get inspiration and how it can link and how i can translate that back through my own area and interpretation. I felt through my context research such as lousie Tiler and Laura Olivia i was able discover my target market and design to my clients likings.

My collections have a variety of different elements and style which i wanted to portray. I felt my final collection needs further development and this will be pursued within my unit x project. This unit allowed me to take a proffessional approach to designing and presenting my ideas. It helped me further understand what a company wants and how i should go about it. It also helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses and what i need to focus on more for unit X. I am looking foward to continue developing my work in unit x.
