Marcella Wylie

Artist Marcella wylie celebrates the extraordinary of nature, through shapes and forms as well as bold and unexpected colour. Her mixed media of illustration and painting results in eye catching pieces. A particular piece which i admire looks as though digital has been combined with it and has aspired me to combine the digital elements of floral with the nature aspects of my project from the abstract to the detail. It will create this unusual composition which i initially wanted to take front.

Her combination of many different elements, is as though it begins to tell a story and nicely flows together. The contrasts of photographic like images with detailed hand drawing works really well together. 

The use of mixed media in a collage method worked well and allowed me to see how my designs would look collaborated via drawings instead of digitally. It allows the hand drawn quality to still shine through. This brings out a contemporary style of work, which i believe if i collaborated within wallpaper designs customers would be after. It is innovative and modern.
