Although I plan to become a freelance surface pattern designer, I still needed to think about the type of company and client my designs were catered to. Researching mulberry and designers guild, they are luxury brands, whereas graham and brown and Laura Ashley fit in with the high street market. The style that indicates my patterns were more towards a high street market range that is affordable but unique. My designs would be catered to the female market due to the femininity and elegance. A universal design which invigorates a room and adds aesthetic value.
